ACT 4.- ESSAY: MEDIA AND INFORMATION SOURCES
“How do I choose from the wide variety of information made available by different sources?"
From the information made by different sources, I choose them through evaluating every details of information and I do comparison in which I compare if one information from one source is similar to another sources. It is better to become literate in every information we obtaining from different medias. Since I want an information that comply my needs and achieve the right standard, I have to consider many things in getting reliable, accurate and valid information. We all know that there's a wide variety of information and our responsibility is to filter out if that's come from an authority sources or come from institution. We need to check also the credibility and validity of every sites from internet. If we already trust or sure on a certain sites, get an information to it and remember to cite as an acknowledge to it. But before that, I choose also if a certain topic or information is relevant or has the quality of timeliness. It is really important to be careful in choosing what media is appropriate to use, what sites are having authority and what information can pass to the right standards. Don't be contented in one source of information, rather try to discover more and analyze every details. Another thing I consider in choosing is if an information meets my needs and if I can gain knowledge from reading it. All in all, we can be a wise and literate if we choose well, evaluate and filter out every information made by different sources or in the internet.

Information Literate Individual (Essay)
Literate means being able to use language, numbers, images, computers, and other basic means to understand, communicate and gain useful knowledge while information is the processed data, knowledge derived from study, experience, instruction, signals or symbols. As this information, we can say that information literate describes an individual who can recognize when information is needed, and can able to locate, evaluate, and effectively communicate information in its various formats. It is very important that you are an individual who posses being information literate. All we know that we are in the new generation, social networks and new technologies were created and many information from there is also spreading. But, we must be aware of every information that we read, gathered and sharing. Be "knowledgeable" about what information is really true and needed. We can also gain knowledge in every information we can get through different media and use it efficiently and effectively. You are also be considered as an information literate if you value the sources where you get the information through citing it to prove the credibility. Individuals also can learn to share and spread their knowledge effectively because they know how to filter and evaluate every information they have so that it can be a useful form of communication. All in all, information literacy is a great help in order to every individuals to become a information literate. All of us can be "knowledgeable" enough to know our limitations, ability and responsibility as an individual of our new and progressive society.
